It is here where doing effective values work can help provide a direction and purpose for psychotherapy, while also dignifying the hard work of psychotherapy and the inevitable challenges that life offers outside of psychotherapy. In this webinar, we will explore how to do meaningful and effective values work through the lens of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
As will be described, ACT offers a unique approach and set of strategies to help clients clarify and take actions consistent with their values (i.e., what really matters to them) while nurturing skills and the flexibility needed to move with barriers that may arise. We will explore experiential exercises and therapeutic strategies that will help mental health professionals apply and integrate values work into their mental health practice.
