This webinar begins with a brief introduction followed by an overview of IFS and Polyvagal Theory, focusing on safety, co-regulation, and in relation to IFS concepts of Parts & Self. Participants will engage in experiential exercises and practice, exploring how Polyvagal Theory informs IFS techniques. After a short break, the session continues with hands-on practice and specific Polyvagal-informed interventions. The webinar concludes with a summary of key takeaways and a Q&A session.

  • Explain the core principles of Polyvagal Theory and how they can be integrated into Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
  • Apply Polyvagal-informed techniques within the IFS framework to create a safe, co-regulated therapeutic environment for clients, tailored to their nervous system responses.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use specific Polyvagal-informed IFS interventions in practice-based scenarios to support client healing and emotional regulation.
